Burning Ordinance:
Burning within city limits is to be done between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Burning is not allowed on city streets, sidewalks, gutters, curbs or alleys. Burning is not permitted within 20 feet of any building or structure. All open fires shall require constant attention and have available a hose hooked to a water supply for fire-extinguishing device available within 10 feet of the said fire. NO rubbish, trash, or building materials may be burned, only yard waste and leaves generated on your property. Allied Waste (618-656-6883) can also pick up yard waste and leaves by calling them.

Rt. 162 Bridge Weekly Construction Release:
08/30/2010-09/03/2010: In order to help alleviate the questions and concerns of the IL Route 162 Bridge Construction, the City of Troy is going to post weekly updates of expected construction that will be in progress during that time period.
